"This is like GREY'S ANATOMY meets SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK!"~reviewer |
Nessa Cavanaugh,
psychology student, knows how to stay on an even keel. Despite the urging of
her mother and her academic advisor to get a life and have some fun, “all work
and no play” sums up her plan to survive her grueling internship year at a children's
hospital. She doesn't want to end up like her father, whose constant ups and
downs broke her family, and avoiding unnecessary emotional entanglements is a
must.
Then she (literally) runs into Dr. Aron Lindstrom in the middle of her disastrous first day on the job. The attraction is instant—and terrifying. Nessa knows she should stay away—especially when she finds out he has a reputation for being a player—but Aron is brilliant, intense, and as sexy as they come. When he challenges her to take a chance on him, her plans to stay focused on work start to crumble.
But what begins as passion takes on a dangerous edge, becoming an emotional roller coaster that’s frighteningly familiar. As things spiral out of control, Nessa must decide whether she should hold on for the ride or run … even if it means leaving her heart behind.
Got that jotted down in your quest scroll?

I intentionally scared myself when I did my first sky dive...many moons ago. ;)
ReplyDeleteI climbed into a cave with my brother and his friends (to impress one of the boys) and then ended up getting trapped in there for a few hours due to a snake blocking our exit! *shivers* Never again will I do that! LOL
ReplyDeleteFlying across country by myself
ReplyDeletehmm can't think of anything lol
ReplyDeleteThe first time I made myself get on a roller coaster.
ReplyDeleteI went on the Tower of Terror just to make the hubs happy. It was awful. Then he threw up on the Teacups. What a baby. lol

The most terrifying thing I ever did was the Slingshot Ride at the Oregon State Fair when I was 16. Youtube some videos of people doing it. I still freak out when I think about it.
ReplyDeleteI was talking to friends while they waited in line and didn't pay attention to the ride they were putting me on....I ending up going on Nitro at Six Flags.....It has a high altitude drop and I am deathly afraid of heights. Need I say more?
ReplyDeleteThe first time I actually got on a roller coaster after my Dad tricked me into standing the mile long line by telling me it was something else, but I loved every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteI went on The Black Widow at Kennywood. I won't be doing that again!
ReplyDeleteMy very first trip on an airplane! I was by myself and the woman beside me kept talking about crashing..it was horrible!
ReplyDeleteI hate the sound of my voice and I stutter when I am nervous so I signed up to read a story for a site that helps people learn English.
ReplyDeleteI sang at my school's talent show, even though crowds scare me and singing in front of people is not something that I like to do. But I did it because college is a chance to do all the scary things you normally wouldn't do, right?
ReplyDeleteI was pregnant and bought a house before taking my boards and earning my full pay. No pressure at all!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the dare devil, adrenaline junkie, so he tries (and manages) to convince me to try new things and do all sorts of potential break-your-bones things. However, the thing that scares me the most is when he convinces me to do something that would probably shouldn't be doing (and no, nothing illegal...he is a cop, so that wouldn't look too good. haha), but I am terrified of getting into trouble.
ReplyDeleteI had a kid! Scared the crap out of me, but it has all turned out ok!
ReplyDeleteWhen I willingly entered a rumored haunted house with my friends... I get chills thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this! :)
I let my 9 year old ride her bike to school with friends even though I was so nervous. What she didn't realize, was that I followed along in the car about 5 minutes later. All was well. :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I send a piece of writing to my betas and CPs :)
